The BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz Story


BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz was formed by group of friends wanting to play their own style of Smooth and Fusion Jazz for everyone to hear. The band plays a mix of Smooth and Fusion Jazz music from standards to current styles of modern jazz.

BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz began as a concept in July of 2009 with two of it's members, Paris and Scott, getting together after nearly 30 years of independent musical careers and combining their desires to create what is now BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz. Three of the members of BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz began playing in high school with a strong emphasis on classical and jazz performance. After almost 30 years of being apart from each other, they once again found that groove and created this exciting new harmony of musicians.

BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz, slowly evolves into its own being and develops a unique presence in the jazz world, BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz is engraving its own sound into the lives of those helping to create it as well as the fans who enjoy listening.

With Paris and Scott both working in the field of health care, they have noticed that our elderly are often longing for entertainment. BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz began a new tradition in 2010. As a community service the band offers the local retirement homes a discount rate and provides the seniors with Smooth Christmas Selections to enjoy. Already this year BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz has scheduled two such events one playing back up to a talent show at a Westerville Retirement Center and in December playing for a Christmas show. BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz believes in giving back and we enjoy playing for these functions.

As plans and new progress begins to unfold, BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz moves into the new year of 2011 with goals, ideas, and concepts only originally believed to be years down the road are beginning to become real and have shed new light and enthusiasm in the members of the band. Recent discussions and plans in the band see BREEZIN' Smooth Jazz creating some originals in the next year with only playing a few popular known songs in performances. For our current fans and followers, we thank you for sticking with us for this past year, and we promise new and exciting things to come.
