Bio

The band started back in 1985 when it is rumoured that Brendan got a tune out of the vibrations of the embilical cord struting out of the womb. Right foot left foot. Once he got his footings, found a world of infinite progressions beyond this initial, rather simple instrumental. Jack Bone, his grandfather, would often have Brendan sit next to him on his old Roland piano while Jack would drift through ballads of WWII as well as other tunes of the 40s and 50s. It wasn't until The Recorder Sessions @ the Royal Conservatory of Music in Bedford, Nova Scotia (Canada) in early 1990 when things really started to move. A number of years were spent informally toying with a variety of instruments as well as progress made uping his confidence infront of a mic at his high school coffee haus. Brendan left home for university at age 18 to take a degree in Economics. There he met friends Rich Clark, Jordan Andrews, Mark Doucet and Jay Adams and began a band called Honeydriver during time spent at Acadia University. In 2005, Brendan was given the opportunity to record a small music project with a friend. The Tapas EP was his first professional recording with help from local Wolfville producer, Phil Romkey. It featured a variety of local talent including "Markit" Mark Cwanja from the highly acclaimed Halifax Hiphop group "Fax4". It also included other talent such as Victoria Parker, Nathanael LaRochette, Anna Alda, Justin Worrell and Glen Leck. In late 2005 Brendan participated in a student exchange program in the city of Logrono, in northern Spain. Onced arrived, Brendan began exposing his melodic agents to spanish fellows. As he mixed in the local music scene, support for his music gained quickly. Both locals as well as international crowds began attending his shows. The "Erasmus", who like him had come to Logrono from all over the world, enjoyed the vibes of a group called "La Casaloca" which Brendan formed with fellow students Friederika Kuhn a violinist from Wismar Germany, and Cristina Chevalier a singer from Venice, Italy. The three were embraced by the international students as it strongly represented character and Erasmus presence that existed in Logrono that year. Songs were written and performed in Spanish, English, German and Italian. The International students would often help arrange shows for La Casaloca around town at parties and bars. "El Embrujo"(The Spell) a bar where La Casloca frequently played was where Brendan was later approached by local music producer Michel K. Michel heard Brendan performing one night. He invited Brendan to the studio where he met other producer Paulino. The three began collaborating on a couple different themes and later presented three songs at the MIDEM music fair in Caans, France. The project attracted the french label RKG Records and since then, Brendan has had music featured on the two highest selling compilation albums in Spain, "Disco Estrella" and "Supermodelos 2007". He is currently organising to promote his new album to be released early 2008-2009. Now I have licensed the album in Germany with Sashimi records Im in a tour with Paul Carrack in Germany. In september we have licensed the album in Italy with Justentertainmen.
