Originally from Hudsonville, Michigan, Brennan moved to Tennessee in 2001 to attend Union University. Brennan's parents are Ron and Jill Uthe, and his older sisters are Andrea and Marisa. In addition to music, Brennan enjoys running and spending time with family and friends.

Brennan became a Christian at the age of seven and is continually amazed at how God reveals His goodness every day. Brennan sang and toured with the radio program Children's Bible Hour for six years.
