Carousel

The snow,
Covers the ground.
And I’ve tried to see,
The sun above the clouds.

I’ve been watching and waiting,
Judging and grading below.
Making up answers,
Stompin’ on dancers toes.

That calm,
Silence has come.
And I’ve tried to listen,
To the mountain river run.

I’ve been reading and writing,
Constantly fighting myself.

Going in circles,
Round a cooling inferno as well.

And it feels like I’m letting go, but I don’t know.
And it feels like if I let it grow, there’ll be no control.

( Chorus)

Love ain’t a foolish game
Pain ain’t a crying shame
And I’m not one to make mistakes
But I felt I had to force a change

Bring a little mercy home
Make my new direction known
Put a face onto a ghost
Reset my reoccurring course
And around and around we go
And around and around we go

Chasing, evading and knee deep in snow.
Forwards and backwards and maddeningly slow.
Been there,
Done that,
And ever since, I’ve wanted to go back.

Hello,
Chilling storm,
Blow away all that keeps me warm.

Cause it feels like I’ve carved in stone,
All that I’ve ever known.
And it feels as far as Merry goes,
I won’t be around.

( Repeat Chorus )

A Pirate’s Dilemma

Fear
What do you want from me?
I’ll be your friend if you’ll let me sleep.

Shame
See what you do to me.
I’ve been with you so long, it’s almost hard to believe.

Worry
Why won’t you let me be?
The future’s a door. The past holds the key.

Freedom
Give back my sovereignty
So I don’t have to rely on people like me.

Motives aside
Where do we go?
This motionless pride
Has made me worn down and slow.

Anchors away
We can rest in the night
But when the east sea awakes
I’ll be back in the fight.

Peace
Do what you want with me.
We stand here as one. We are family.

Joy
Throw your veil over me.
Allow me to cry, and sing loud and free.

Feeling
Why have you ran from me?
These things that I hide will hang me up on a tree.

Comfort
Show me the enemy
So I can relax, knowing it’s not me.

Motives aside
Where do we go?
This motionless pride
Has got me torn down and low.

Anchors away
We can rest in the night
But when the east sea awakes
I’ll be back in the fight.

One Last Try

One Last Try

It’s been a long time since I last confessed.
It’s been a hard time but I did my best
To keep you in my life for all these years.

Listened to the stories that you used to share,
And baby I’m sorry if it seemed I didn’t care
Because I did and I do and I’m still in love with you.

But if the ocean should run dry
I won’t turn back. I’ll say goodbye.
I’m just begging you baby please,
Give me one last try.

I’ve made some mistakes that don’t make me proud.
It seems that I wake up just to let you down
And it breaks my heart ‘cause I know you could have more.

You see things in me that others don’t see.
I need you baby. Do you need me?
You know me better then myself. There could be no one else
But you

But if the ocean should run dry
I won’t turn back. I’ll say goodbye.
I’m just begging you baby please,
Think about you and I.

I’m just begging you baby please…
Give me one last try.

Oooo Oooo

I’m just begging you baby please,
Give me one last try.
