8TH ANNUAL INDEPENDENT MUSIC AWARDS
New York based Brentley Willis is among a diverse group of independent artists named as Winners of the 8th Annual Independent Music Awards (IMA) program. Brentley was named the winner of the Best R&B Album of the Year for album “Hand Written,” R&B category.
Pop/R&B singer Brentley Willis blends passionate Pop and Rhythm and blues to create a modern R&B sound and has performed among the likes of Donald Lawrence, Freddie Jackson, Karina Pasian, Karen Bernod, Gordon Chambers and many others. The Japanese Music community dubbed him “the next selling Chris Brown” and his music video has been seen on Vh1 and BET commercials.
Reflecting the breadth of the independent music community, this year’s IMA Winners and Finalists were culled from thousands of submissions worldwide, including the U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Cuba, China, Mongolia, Republic of Guinea, Israel, South Africa, Italy, France and Sweden. Additionally, they represent every level of experience including a variety of seasoned recording artists.

BRENTLEY (Willis) is a native of Dallas Texas who has rocked crowds by the thousands throughout the Northern region of the United States. A successful independent artist who has been traumatized by the death of his older brother being gunned down the Texas state police, he placed his heart and soul into his first album "Brentley 101" (Released August 21, 2007), released on record label Bout Dat Entertainment, which gave his growing legion of fans many reasons to want to get to know him more. His radio single and accompanying music video Southern Boi has blazed radio stations and video channels across the region. Working with some of today's hottest producers & engineers, hes at it again with his new single "Be Your Music", which he co-wrote along side of his longtime friend and producer Anthony "Tonye" Newsome. His fans, however, arent the only ones who appreciate his talent. Brentley is proud to be the recipient of the R&B Album of the Year award from the 2009 Independent Music Awards! Brentley is what the Entertainment Business is missing! He is Fresh, Young, & Multi-Talented.... WATCH OUT WORLD for BRENTLEY he is coming to TAKE SPOTS!
