"Sydney Morning Herald - 2007"

“Last year the Brewster Brothers achieved visibility with the album ‘Shadows Fall’…..They toured, constructed a website and found an influential fan in the Sydney ABC radio announcer Richard Glover.” They accumulate a repertoire of original songs that exist in a parallel universe to the brooding menace of the Angels classics such as
Take A Long Line or Mr Damage”.
- Anothony O’Grady

"ABC 702 Sydney - 2007"

“I defy anyone to listen to the Brewster Brothers and not be transported somewhere special. They offer a musical trip to a very compelling place. They are always a huge hit with listeners when they come on our show and I’m always happy to help in any way.” - Richard Glover

"ABC Melbourne - 2007"

Every year someone at the Port Fairy Folk Festival has everyone talking. This year it was the Brewster Brothers, with a show packed with great songs, great playing, infectious rhythms and a vibe that filled every venue they performed in. Their CD ‘Shadows Fall’ has all those ingredients and showcases the remarkable talents of two of this country’s most enduring and endearing musicians. - Derek Guille

Bio

John and Rick Brewster are founding members and major songwriters of the legendary "Angels", one of Australia’s most successful rock bands, who “smash” attendance records wherever they play. They have produced the band’s classic multi-platinum albums and "The Angels" remain one of Australia’s most loved and respected bands.

In 1998 The Angels were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.

In 2008 the renowned songwriting team Brewster/Neeson/Brewster was inducted into the Australian Songwriter Association (ASA) Hall of Fame.

A few years ago Rick and John started a new break-away project performing acoustically as "The Brewster Brothers", creating an elusive new musical style that reflects all their influences going right back to Rick’s early classical piano training and John’s teenage years as a folk and acoustic performer.

Expanding now to The Brewster Brothers Trio with the addition of multi-instrumentalist Paul Robert Burton, the Brewster Brothers are redefining the limitations of contemporary live musical performance.

In the last three years they have recorded three CD’s, four video clips, played over 250 live ticket shows, 20 national festivals, two overseas appearances and with the international release of their new studio album “Wounded Healer”, have their eyes set on Europe.
