Briana Waldorf

You may not have heard of Briana Waldorf just yet, but wait! As the beautiful and talented young pop singer, songwriter, musician, and actress from Motown positively affirmed, “I’m free to chase my dreams, be anything I wanna to be…nothing will stop me now…this is my world,” in her debut single “My World”.

This musical prodigy originates from culturally diverse roots. Briana’s father is of German, Irish, and Polish ancestry and her mother is of a German and Bolivian descent. At the tender age of 8, Briana developed a passion for singing and demonstrated a vocal ability that mimicked pop icons that influenced her style, such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, and Rihanna. As a songwriter, she takes each opportunity and her life experiences and turns them into melodic masterpieces. Briana completes her repertoire as a well-rounded artist with her mastery of most major stringed and some percussion instruments including the piano, violin, viola, cello, and upright bass. Her latest venture is to learn to play the guitar. Briana has performed at many public venues in cities across the United States, where she receives consistently overwhelming, positive responses…a true reflection of who she is as a person and an artist.

Although singing is her primary passion, Briana discovered her love of acting at the age of 12 and began captivating audiences in leading theatrical roles, such as Cinderella. Her entertaining performances in the humorous role of Hope Harcourt in “Anything Goes” has made audiences laugh with delight. She lent her talents to supporting lead roles as the Lion and the Scarecrow in “The Wizard of Oz,” as Chava in “Fiddler on the Roof,” as Pepper in “Annie,” and as Antonia in “Man of La Mancha.” In spite of her age, Briana dominates the theatrical stage with her acting prowess.

Briana is compassionate for those who serve in our military. As a result, she dedicated her academic career to membership in the ROTC, where she was recently promoted to Cadet Colonel. She credits the ROTC with teaching her dedication, responsibility, leadership and discipline. She has also learned the value of serving others within her community as a summer camp leader, where she choreographed and designed costumes for youth performances and volunteered for other community projects. Her philanthropic spirit continues to enrich the lives of those around her.

When she isn’t performing or working in the studio, Briana is a typical teenager who enjoys reading, listening to music, going to the drive-in movies and to theme parks, shopping at the mall, partaking in the adventures of mudding, or just spending time with her family and friends. Her overall philosophy is to “work hard now and play harder later,” a motto that surely contributes to her successes so far and that to come.

Briana Waldorf’s soulful and illustrious vocals lend to a sound and feel that is far beyond her years. Look forward to hearing more from this dynamic teen heartthrob in 2010.
