""Prague Radio" Review"

With elements of early Crowded House, but making this very much his own work, Brian Baker has created a masterpiece full of great electrical and acoustic sounds. The vocals and harmonies demand to be listened to and are thus clearly appreciated; the musical interface with the rest of the band hits one immediately, leaving the listener in no doubt that this singer/songwriter has been hidden away from us for too long. An album to purchase and treasure. - Tony Bates - Highlands FM

"Timeless acoustic driven pop"

The warm acoustic guitar washes over every note and Baker`s Finn-esque croon takes you down on your knees to prepare to be lifted back up to the warm sun breaking down on your pop-starved soul. Embrace tuning into "Prague Radio" and be rewarded with a bit of timeless acoustic-driven pop. Very Highly Recommended!

Bio

"The long way home" Baker's latest release, is essential singer/songwriter stuff. Here is a great songwriter who is striving to hone his craft and take it to a higher level. Developing his style following his previous release, "In our backyard", Baker seems to be relishing in taking a very direct approach to his music, focusing on a stripped down, lyric driven style which is beginning to reference folk, Celtic and early American music, while remaining in very much his own idiom.
Founding legendary Melbourne band, The Ones, in the eighties, then working with Split Enzer, Eddie Rayner in the nineties, Baker has been songwriting, performing and composing music for TV, radio and film for 25 years. He lives in the Dandenong Ranges, in Melbourne, Australia where he produces high quality work from his studio.
Recent performances include the highly prestigious "Bourke and Wills Folk Festival" in Victoria March, 2007.
