Bio

I’m a fourth generation farmer from Vermont. I grew up in the mountains, backwoods, and dirt roads, which, they have always been a very big part of my life.
As a teenager growing up in Vermont in the 70s, excitement was never very far away. I became accustomed to using dynamite to clear roads, driving tractors and skidders while logging, and running the sawmill on the family farm, all before the age of 16. But as fate would have it, the mountains were to enclosed for a wild teen and I soon found myself in Florida, as a runaway. Trouble seemed to follow everywhere I went, so I returned home, where my father was to die a few short months later. I was then 17, running a cattle farm, a sawmill, and trying to find direction. My older brother played guitar at the time, and I was able to find an old music book from the band America. I knew the song, “Sister Golden Hair,” so in a short while, I learned my first song. I learned that a neighbor had lost his father not long before as well, and we became good friends. He grew in a family of nine, most of whom played guitar. I learned how to play country music, and how to party at an early age. Within a short time music became one of the most integral part of my life. Through the years I've played in many country music bands. We've played at Weddings, Moose Clubs, Elks clubs, redneck bars, and anywhere else that had a large room and a case of beer. Time has slowed me down a little. Watching my two children grow up has added a new sense of warmth to my music. Songwriting evolved with it. But it wasn’t until my daughter left for college that my first song, “Remember Me,” started me down another path. Songs seem to flow now from emotions and experiences that just needed a way out. I now play and write just for the fun of it. I play at a local Veterans Hospital to try to brighten up as many lives of Veterans as I can.
