Brian Cober Band

Brian Cober Band

Original Blues/Rock and Roll, utilizing a slide guitar technique invented by Brian called "Double Slide". This technique combined with Cober's strong vocals and songwriting give the listener the feeling of an unique shared experience. The Brian Cober Band is fiercely dedicated to live performance.

When Brian was 16 years old he was playing lap steel guitar, and trying to overcome the limitations of this instrument. Adding a smaller slide on his thumb allowed him to not only play any chord in any key and solo with much more freedom, he was now able to stand up and boogie! 35 years later Brian is a master of the Double Slide. Singer/Songwriter/Frontman skills followed as Brian's deep desire to improve combined with his full time music experience. Hard work equals big time enjoyment for Cober, Over the years Brian has played countless shows, sometimes with big stars (Bo Diddley, Jeff Healey, Johnny Winter, to name a few) or in small intimate settings. In 2010 Brian toured in Lithuania, performing at the Bluizo Natkys Festival with The Roadband.

Don't tell me about the Blues

Written By: Brian Cober

When your livin' on the street
In the cold and the heat
That's life, downtown
In the city, goin down
Don't tell me about the blues

Some get there's for free
Others sweat and even bleed
Whacha gonna do, the dye is set
Bad luck and trouble Is all you get
Don't tell me about the blues

I've gotta find a new way
Way I'm livin' is killin' me
Like a ship on troubled seas
Which wave is gonna bury me
Don't tell me about the blues
