Brian Doyle Full Bio

Brian Doyle is a multi-dimensional, singer-songwriter whose career is marked by 4 album releases, notable performances, and consistently solid reviews. His sound is built on traditional rock, blues, and folk with creatively-edgy, alternative songwriting.

His latest album, releasing in November 2006, “All Roads Lead To Home,” is perhaps his strongest work, though his previous albums won rave reviews. Southeast Performer magazine wrote: “Brian Doyle is a multi-talented musician deserving of much acclaim, and “Falling Forward” is a completely enjoyable album full of energy.” And the album “Matter” was called an “extremely solid and hones composition with hints of rock, country and blues” by an Atlanta recording executive.

Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Doyle plays both solo and with his band, the Hamiltons, at music venues across the southeast.
Doyle's musical path began in a garage in his home town of Jackson, Michigan playing rhythm guitar for his first band and after an exhaustive and unsuccessful search for a singer, he eventually slid over to the microphone. He relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan and formed a party band with high school friends called The K.G.B. (killergreenbuds) playing anyplace with a power outlet. He next joined up with a band called The Blind Rebels (it was a Brando thing) as the singer/ lyricist and started the evolution into song writing. The Blind Rebels was more of a song writing project than a band, writing and recording three full length demos in just over a year and a half. This of course led to cabin fever, creative differences, a few ego maniacs and a break up.
Ready for a change, Doyle moved south to Atlanta from Grand Rapids, started writing on his own, and recorded his solo debut, The Vicious Circle, in late 1997. He spent a few years playing around the Atlanta area with his band and as a solo artist (vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica), developing new material and maturing as a performer.
In 2000, Doyle recorded his second CD, Falling Forward. Engin

Lyrics

Out Of Reach

Written By: brian doyle

I think it's time for me
To move down to the sea
Alone out on a beach
Out of reach

Searching for a song
To take away the harm
That brightens everyday's decay

And I don't want to go
I know she told me so
You always find a way
through the day

Change will surely come
No matter right or wrong
Times the only change
is on the page

As the years keep pouring down
They've thrown away the clowns
And all that's obsolete
Your innosence in reach

And I don't want to go
I know she told me so
You always find a way
through the day

I think it's time for me
To move down to the sea
Alone out on a beach
Out of reach

You Are The One

Written By: brian doyle

You are the one
Hold the key
Get your head together
Take your seat
Yeah, oh yeah

It's alright to ramble
And all thats free
But just like everything
It has it's needs
Yeah, oh yeah...yeah

Blur the lines
Poison seeds
Dumb it down
With stupid themes
Yeah, oh yeah

All that you know
All that you see
All that you grow
All that it feeds

You are the one
You are the one
You are the one
The only one

It's cold outside
Cold to me
It's your mind
It's your lead

You are the one
You are the one
You are the one
The only one

The only one

Leave It All Behind

Written By: brian doyle

I don't go down that road it's not mine
Cuz you leave it all behind
Big machines, and petty things
Oh it's all a state of mind

I don't know, how I know, you know I
Must have seen it on the line
And here with you, the way you do
I'm gonna leave it all behind

Here with you, the way you do
I'm gonna leave it all behind

gonna leave it all behind

gonna leave it all behind
