Brian Eltomi

After taking up guitar at the age of 16, Brian quickly fell in love with the craft of songwriting. He began writing and recording during his senior year of High School, and released an EP called The Planet Sessions - a short collection of acoustic songs that marked his entrance into the songwriting world. Afterwards, he attended Florida State University, where he majored in both philosophy and literature, studied contemporary psychology, and engaged in deep investigation of religious and nonreligious thought. Also, while at Florida State, he discontinued his production of music and turned to the study and appreciation of the craft. He worked towards gaining an understanding and appreciation for various musical styles and approaches to composition, and spent over a year learning to write poetry under the wings of professor and American poet Barbara Hamby, eventually publishing a poem titled "King of the Ants" through the school's literary publication.

In 2009, he built his own recording studio in his home so that he could experiment freely with different musical directions and produce music at his own pace without the pressure of hourly studio rates. This resulted in the creation of "Regress," a 4 song EP featuring a full band that includes banjo, layers of harmonies, a syncopated percussion section, acoustic guitar and bass. Brian explains the EP saying, "I see it as my first attempt at giving all of my effort - compositionally, lyrically, intellectually, and creatively - to a musical project."
