"The Duke Nukem Theme on Electric Violin Is F**king Incredible"

"The Duke Nukem Theme on Electric Violin Is F**king Incredible...Over the years, I have seen hundreds, no, thousands of covers of the Duke Nukem “grabbag” theme...nothing, and I mean nothing could prepare me for this. This is the work of one man. Brian Fitzgerald. Brian, you’re a king, baby." - Dave Oshry

"Chesco Pops to feature musical innovator"

There’s no need for Philadelphia and Boston to get all the attention: Chester County has its own Pops Orchestra, which is poised to present its Summer Concert Series. The featured guest will be Brian Fitzy, a vocalist, electric violinist, guitarist, beat-boxer, producer, and composer, with five albums recorded to date. Fitzy’s multi-instrumentalist talents feature live looping technology, which involves recording music and sound and then layering it into the performance. Fitzy, who has played in venues ranging from Madison Square Garden to Lincoln Financial Field, will be joined by the full Chesco Pops Orchestra, producing an innovative, exciting program. - Chadds Ford Live

Bio

Blending elements from a variety of genres and decades, Brian Fitzy
falls somewhere between Daryl Hall and Jamiroquai by way of A Tribe
Called Quest. Vocalist, electric violinist, guitarist, beat-boxer.
Bringing these elements together live with looping technology, the
result is soul-pop with undertones from the golden age of hip hop.

A Philadelphia-based multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, perpetually touring at around 200-225 dates a year, he has performed on small stages all the way up to The Grammys with the Foo Fighters in 2008.  He's opened for State Radio, Snoop Dogg, Rusted Root, a number of smaller national acts, and as an electric violinist (a Wood Violins artist), performed with Dice Raw of The Roots crew.

Recent performances include The Fillmore (Silver Springs, MD), The Bitter End (NYC), Club Cafe (Pittsburgh, PA), Tiffin University (Tiffin, OH), Tellus360 (Lancaster, PA), Basement East (Nashville, TN), The Gallery @ Market East (Philadelphia, PA), Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia, PA), 4th of July on the Ben Franklin Parkway--Pepsi Stage, National Harbor Maryland, Franklin Institute (Philadelphia, PA), Philadelphia Museum of Art, Borgata Casino AC, Revel AC, PLCB Whiskey Fest at Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia, PA), World Cafe Live @ The Queen (Wilmington, DE), Telefunken Labs (Hartford, CT).
