Three things I have always loved: Family, friends, and Rock & Roll.. That hasn't changed. What has changed is my perspective and my heart.

Rock & Roll is a form of music. It is not evil in itself. A quote from Nikki Six,, a base player and songwriter for Motley Crue and a former heroin addict describes the dark side of Rock & Roll. "What is rock 'n' roll if it's not sexy? Sleazy? Usually, Chauvinist? Always. We'd crammed all this into a blender and out came a very toxic cocktail. Palatable for the masses - like Jim Jones Kool Aid, sweet to the lips and deadly to ourselves. We were the drug scouts of America and we were louder than hell"(Sixx, 2007).

There was a time when I was trapped by the deceptive lair of the dark side of rock n roll. My thirst for fame, riches and personal glory, swept me away from honor and integrity and I found myself in an abyss of fear, anger, bitterness and pain. Thank God there was a nail scarred hand to pull me out.

Coming from an Irish Catholic background, I knew the name Jesus. What I didn't know was that I desperately needed Him to save me from my fallen state. But one day he showed up and made it very clear to me that I was forgiven, redeemed, and restored. By His stripes I was healed and by His blood I was washed clean. Since the day I met him, my life has changed. I am a new man with a new heart, living for His glory and walking in His path."For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."(Eph. 2:10).
