Brian Girley

Saxophonist and Composer, Brian Girley, an Orlando Florida native got his start both from his mother and father who would sing in church and at weddings giving him his first musical exposure. He went on to receive both his Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of North Texas (UNT) where he studied saxophone with Jim Riggs, Eric Nestler, Lynn Seaton, Fred Hamilton and Stefan Karlsson.

Brian began his career as a performer working between Orlando and the DFW metroplex. He has played and shared the stage with performers and legends such as B.B King, Gladys Knight, Sam Rivers, John Fedchock, Lynn Seaton, Tommy Campbell, Ambrose Akinmusire, Taylor Eigsti, Quamon Fowler, Adonis Rose, and Jason Marsalis. Brian hasn’t just played domestically but all over the world in countries such as Japan, China, and Canada and in festivals such as the Deep Ellum Jazz Festival, Disney Magic Music Days, North Texas Jazz Festival, Shanghai Expo, Denton Jazz and Arts and the Sanger Wine and Music festival.

Brian currently resides in New York where he has already become an active and sought out musician and has released his debut record “Faith” in July 2011.
