"Amazing listen"

"Wielding the nuances of the English language in rhythmic, sexual rhymes set to the backgrounds of warm, enticing and alluring melodies, clearly a unique brandishing of a formidable weapon..." MediaStop, December 2011. - MusicStop

"A Worthy New Release: "The Other Side""

"Exposed, genuine, and cut throat realism blend to make the sonic endeavors a rising success. Without a doubt, “The Other Side” has a sound all it’s own. Recorded in L.A. and engineered by Magic Marc [The Calling], 'The Other Side' blends heavy riffs with radio rock melody and features the hits, "Don't You Cry", "Again", and a smoldering take on Pearl Jam's 'Release'. Musicians with resumes bearing the name of projects with Sting, REM, and Jerry Cantrell, sat in the studio to jam with Brian on these diverse tracks." - Sonic Vibe

"Here He Comes..."

"Sexy, sexy, and...you guessed it - sexy. Juicy hooks, a voice (and look) to match, and catchy melodies married to accessible lyrics. Any A&R person's dream. Here he comes." - Weekly Review, September, 2011. - Weekly Rag

"Greenwood shines with "The Other Side""

"New York native Brian Greenwood, enters the scene promising a newly-minted and continually developing success story. After selling out shows and releasing his first EP, "The Other Side" on the Rainsong Records imprint, Brian has edged his way into table top conversations with appearances from New York to Hollywood - a new kid's in town, and he can sing." - MusicReview, September 2007. - MusicReview

""Don't Tell Me To Smile""

"'Don't Tell Me To Smile' is a stunning record and a masterful reinvention of the art of the LP." - LPStats

"Brian Greenwood makes his mark"

““Conjuring sonic and lyrical landscapes ranging from primal to ethereal, of the sensual and of the sacred – a universally appealing and notable craftwork. A bullet to the emotional center of the human condition…a truly unique talent.” On the first single: ‘Bad at Love’ – [i]s a fresh reimagining of modern rock’n’roll noir – a soaring, driving back beat with instrumentation reminiscent of the 60s and 70s - from overdriven guitars, Wurlitzer, Mellotron, to intricate string arrangements and thickly-stacked and innovative harmony parts and an addictive, hooky lyrical refrain perhaps more relatable and representative of our current world than we care to admit, “Making the best of what we’re supposed to be/Bad at love/What else are we?”” - StarlightMusic Press

Bio

When asked to suggest a contemporary comparable artist, the answer after some searching frequently comes, “I really can’t! He definitely has his own sound. You won’t mistake him for anyone else.” From another, “a combination of Jeff Buckley, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd.” Another when asked alternatively for a genre reference, one insightfully remarked with a smile, “bluesy, pop-rock served with a divine and edgy lyrical twist.” And there it is. Singularly-situated in a sea of decadent digitally-reliant rock listlessness, default sonic templates and algorithm-constructed, over-chewed bubblegum acts, often indiscernible from one another and devoid of genuine flavor or the scarring of realism, Brian brings back an element of organic purity that inevitably accompanies musical revolutions of any epoch. His smooth yet powerful vocal range delivers his inventive melodies and lyrics via direct injection to the listener’s emotional core. He has a gift for creating memorable hooks and his words twist like a relentless serpent through the dimensions of melody and meaning.
