Bio

Born in Toronto,1952 I have been into music since the age of six.Our first rock band 'The Changing Times" began when I was twelve when we were playing dances at our local school. Our repertoire consisted mainly of The Beatles,Rolling Stones,Steppenwolf and The Animals. After a couple of years some band members changed, but we continued playing and adding to our song list.I began as a drummer and singer in those early bands. One day I decided to pick up my brothers old Gibson Melody maker and never looked back. The guitar had now become the love of my life.I purchased a very inexpensive Degas acoustic guitar and began teaching myself the guitar by listening to old Bob Dyaln and early Neil Young tunes. After many years of extensive practice and sore fingers I developed a songlist that allowed me to begin performing at a couple of folk clubs in the Toronto area. After much hard work and many succesful auditions I was able to book myself in many clubs and universities throughout the greater Toronto area and keep myself musically active and self-supporting for fifteen years.I also taught guitar to aspiring students at Powell music studio in Don Mills. It was also during this time that I began to write my own songs.Having been influenced by many artists such as Cat Stevens,Jim Croce,James Taylor,Bruce Cockburn,Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan,my own sound began to take shape. In 1994 I built my own home recording studio in my basement, and I have been writing and recording ever since.
