Brian Hotton

Officially not a band, but three individuals who have played separately in Toronto and the worldwide musical arena. "Gillian" is the first of a series of songs to come out of this creative friendship. The song was written by Brian Hotton, a singer songwriter from Toronto, Canada, who has a natural ability to capture the essence of human emotion and experience. Rique Franks, herself a singer songwriter, sings the song, and captures the feelings of the lyrics as if they were her own. Stepping into the emotional purgatory of Gillian's shoes and soaring with her as she journeys on. All of this is set against a quietly thrilling musical backdrop provided by Tony Azzopardi, that shifts from hypnotic, sparse and darkly atmospheric orchestration to guitar-juiced rock anthem fueled by Brian's brilliant playing.
We three have converged our talent to produce this song, in an effort to raise awareness, through a North American campaign, involving radio, television, newspaper and other media organizations, to support our efforts in creating 'The Gillian Centre', an organization to provide support, encouragement, mentorship and direction, to those, like Gillian, that are valiant in their battle with depression. All proceeds from the sale of the recording and royalties, will be donated to 'The Gillian Centre'.
