Earth's Premier Science Comedian

Rational Comedy for an Irrational Planet

"Science needs more people like Brian to engage with the public and show them that it can be a part of their lives - and a very entertaining and thought-provoking part at that."

- Marisa Burgener, American Chemical Society

An accomplished stand-up comic whose career has spanned more than a decade and includes performances on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS), A & E, TechTV, and the Discovery Channel, Brian Malow turns his sharp wit on the world of science.

"I haven't always been a comic. I used to be an astronomer, but I got stuck on the day shift."

Brian entertains and stimulates interest in science with hysterical and thought-provoking routines about the environment, evolution, the speed of light, gravity, antimatter, cell phones, computers, doctors, insects, viruses, and the rest of the expanding Universe!

He makes science funny, exciting and easily digestible for all audiences!

He's the perfect presenter for your college, corporation, or organization!

High-energy, full-spectrum science humor!

"Brian managed to help us see the hidden humor in infectious diseases and global warming, which are not two topics that lend themselves easily to humor. He kept us on our toes by periodically posing questions, as well as showing great flexibility as he adapted his routine and responded to our audience's most vocal folks. From his opening joke about the speed of light and the speed of sound, I knew that it would be an enjoyable evening!"

His unique act has helped Brian carve out a niche for himself as Earth's Premier Science Comedian, with performances for the Marian Koshland Science Museum, the National Academy of Sciences, the National Association of Science Writers, the American Chemical Society, and many other organizations.

He's performed for Microsoft, Apple, Dell, 3M, Texas Instruments and more.

And is a favorite at colleges including Princeton, Stanford, San Francisco State University, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Utah State University, St. Mary's College, West Virginia State College and many, many more!

Brian's comedy has even been heard in space!

The astronauts aboard the space shuttle mission STS-44, while in orbit around the Earth, listened to a recording of his Neil Armstrong routine. And they laughed.

Many Different Programs to Choose From...

Brian's presentation can be tailored to be a perfect fit for any group or event. He already has successful programs such as:

"Rational Comedy for an Irrational Planet" - a great general presentation for absolutely any group, it includes material about everyday technology - cell phones, snooze alarms, computers, automobiles - as well as the environment, cigarettes, insects, medicine, water, birth, growing old, and science fiction movies.

"Science Comedy: It's Infectious!" - this show focuses on biology, health, infectious disease, viruses, bacteria, washing your hands... and then spreads, like a virus, into other subject areas... it's much funnier than it sounds!

"Scary Science" - this program addresses the questions, "Why is science scary to so many people?" and "Why aren't more people interested in science?" Of course, Brian takes that and runs with it... discussing everything from evolution and extinction to sperm and plastic surgery, from UFO's and alien abductions to genetically modified organisms and the environment!

"Insect Paparazzi" - This is Brian's special multimedia presentation about his hobby as an insect photographer. This program includes a strange and beautiful slide show of amazing close-up images of insects going about their day - including mating! Brian offers photography tips as well as advice on finding and photographing insects yourself! Join the Insect Paparazzi! Brian's photos have appeared in Natural History Magazine and on One fortuitous photograph he took provided the first documented evidence that a certain species of fly exists in North America!
