Lyrics

She Can't Hold A Candle To You

Written By: Brian Miessner

SHE CAN’T HOLD A CANDLE TO YOU
Brian Miessner / July 2008

Verse
She has ruby red lips
Gold on her fingertips
She has curves on her curves
Not too hard on the nerves
She has platinum blonde hair
And a baby blue stare
She’s got tight jeans and bling
But it don’t mean a thing

Pre-chorus/ Chorus
Cause when it comes to beauty
That runs deep and true
When is comes to lovin
There’s no one like you.
The facts are the facts
In my heart I know that it’s true
That when it comes to all those things that real women do
She can’t hold a candle to you

Verse
She drives only fast cars
Hangs with Hollywood stars
In diamonds and heels
She has high curb appeal
On reality TV
Channel one-fifty-three
In La La La Land
Don’t she look so grand

Pre-chorus/ Chorus
But when it comes to beauty
That runs deep and true
Well I hit it lucky
The day I met you
The facts are the facts
In my heart I know that it’s true
That when it comes to all those things that real women do
She can’t hold a candle to you

Bridge:
It’s you that I dream of - at the end of the day
It’s you that dream of - you take me away
To a place in the universe that I wanna stay

Pre-chorus/ Chorus
When it comes to beauty
That runs deep and true
When it comes to lovin
It’s all been for you
The facts are the facts
In my heart I know that it’s true
That when it comes to all those things that real women do
She can’t hold a candle to you

When It Comes To Lovin You

Written By: Brian Miessner

WHEN IT COMES TO LOVIN YOU /
BRIAN MIESSNER

Early one morning
A knock on my door
There stood a woman
That I had known before
Sayin’, can I please come in
You know I’ve changed my ways
But it was the devil
A talkin in her place

Well, we had a good thing
Way back when
Well I can still recall, the Holiday Inn
Nights we spent together
And drinkin that gin
And now you wanna come back
Well I’m the biggest fool in town

Chorus
But when it comes to lovin you
I ain’t got no time
I’ve just got to keep my piece of mind
And keep on rollin down the line
And I don’t know if I’m ever gonna stop
I know that to you I meant a lot
But I can’t hide the way I feel

Well every now and then
Gets me thinkin
And every now and then
Sets me drinkin
Ain’t it funny how I’ve been alone
For all these years
And now you wanna come back
Well you can cry a million tears

Chorus
But when it comes to lovin you
I ain’t got no time
I’ve just got to keep my piece of mind
And keep on rollin down the line
And I don’t know if I’m ever gonna stop
I know that to you I meant a lot
But I can’t hide the way I feel

Bridge
It’s all over now
And it seems somehow
That there’s just no use in tryin anymore

When it comes to lovin you
When it comes to lovin you
When it comes to lovin you
I ain’t got no time
Well I’ve just got to keep my peace of mind

Repeat to end
