Bio

Brian Miessner originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, is best known as lead singer / songwriter / bassist for North America’s first Beatles cover band “Liverpool” and Canadian rock groups “Sugar & Spice” and “Aerial”.

Brian wrote and recorded Canadian hits Strawberry Wine and Sweet Talkin’ Woman with Winnipeg band Sugar and Spice.

Moving to Toronto, Brian formed “Liverpool”, North America’s first Beatles cover band. Liverpool enjoyed tremendous success in Canada and the U.S. Never content playing only Beatles songs, Liverpool released several successful singles - most notably the top 20 hit “Dolly” written by Brian, before morphing into the pop-rock group Aerial in 1978.

Aerial recorded 2 albums for Capitol records – “In The Middle of the Night” and “Maneuvers.” Both LP’s featured songs written by Brian - notably the regional hits Tears That You Cry and Moments Like This.

Brian currently has a collection of 13 pop/rock songs in release on his own label - “In My Perfect World” (www.brianmiessner.com). Brian has written in many genres and is currently recording a collection of country songs - some are new and some have been taken from a back catalogue of songs written under the influence of Nashville’s greatest singers and songwriters.

We hope you enjoy the music!!
