Bio
A trained professional actor with over 30 years of stage perience I have chosen to focus on songwriting and singing. I have 2 full musicals in process. Alex In Underland, a contemporary and urban family musical based on Alice In Wonderland and Date With An Angel, an innovate and provocative look at contemporary culture, spirituality and sexuality set in San Francisco. I write music in many styles, from a standard Broadway sound to folk, hip hop and classical. My musical theatre influences, composer wise, are primarily Kurt Weil and Stephan Sondheim. They each have a musical and emotional depth to which I aspire. As a lyricist, I fancy myself a modern Cole Porter, not afraid to inject humor even in the most serious situations.
I bring an uncommon wealth of experience in all areas of theatre and performing and am capable of creating original theatrical visions that are complete works of art.
My non-stage compositions are a mixture of folk and contemporary soft rock. Kind of like, Joni Mitchell meets Don McLean in an alley and beats the crap out of him.
