Bio
Brian Sofer is a singer/songwriter from New York who is now based in Denver, CO. Brian stepped out from behind the machine and onto the stage as an acoustic solo artist in late 2002. Sofer's music combines driving guitar rhythms with passionate vocals and captivating lyrics. His unique musical stories run the gamut -- from the dark and sinister, to biographical tributes, poignant love songs, socially-conscious diatribes, and obscure tales taken from the headlines. A raspy and soulful delivery blended with thought-provoking lyrics keep B's sets interesting, original, and enjoyable for fans of stripped-down, live, honest music.
In addition to being the co-founder and lead singer of Denver's Breaking & Entering, Sofer has toured nationally with Atlanta's Outformation. As a solo artist, B's played clubs and venues all over the country including stops in New York City, Hoboken, Hartford, Baltimore, Washington DC, Louisville, Indianapolis, Raleigh, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Albuquerque, Ft. Collins, Denver; and has shared bills with Jerry Joseph, Eric McFadden Trio, Bloodkin, Barbara Cue, Outformation, Suspect, Sub-Urban, Supperhopper, Soma, Mark Brut, One Time Experience, The Tone Mutts, Smoking Section, Dolls and Therapy, Betty Dylan, Zorki, Brianna Lane, Armand, and Brilliant Inventions.
