BandPopRock

Songwriting Brian's way - A classic flavored mix of alternative styles with a tinge of folky-popness. Memorable melodies and familiar themes of new love, lost love, strange love, old love, all we need is love.

Biography

Nothing wrong with having a melody stuck in your head is there?

Sometimes, given enough time, an air-guitar act actually produces sound. Taking the next step and forming a band from scratch takes confidence and courage......nice to have a wee-bit of talent and something to say as well. An aerospace engineer by day, father-of-3 by night, Brian brings a unique perspective to the songwriting process. Everyone has something to say...sing along with Brian's story.

Lyrics

Galactic Groove

Written By: Brian St-Aubin

(Chorus)
Shadow one to shadow two
Send your sky my way
Shadow two I’m hear to stay
You’re looking mighty fine today

(Verse)
You can be the pain in my happiness
I’ll be the fire in your galaxy
Put me out with your tears
I’m happy to be your fantasy

You can be the clouds that hide the moon
I’m the kind of guy you want to meet
Pick me out of your enemies
Separate your finest sweets

(Break)
Line ‘em up and take then down yeah
Round them up and bring them round
One by one sitting in the sun
Line them up and bring them down

(Chorus)

You can be the stone that trips me up
And I’ll be the fork in your road
Pick the one that won’t get old
The secret to your heart a la mode

You can be the stormy in the sky
I’ll be the calm you never see
Put your heart on your sleeve
You’ve got the look of please, please

(Break)

(Chorus)

Looking mighty fine today…. yeah
You looking mighty fine, looking mighty fine today…yeah.
Your looking mighty fine, looking mighty fine today… yeah
Shadow two come my way…
Your looking mighty fine, looking mighty fine today
Shadow two come my way…

Set Me Free

Written By: Brian St -Aubin

I wanted you to wait
Scream a little longer
You are the eason
Make this feeling stronger

I love the mystery in your eyes
As I'm holding you inside
I love the words you sing to me
And all the ways you set me free

I took another breath
Reached deeper in your eye
Spied you hidden treasure
Sat in your blue-green sky

I love the mystery in your eyes
As I'm holding you inside
I love the words you sing to me
And all the ways you set me free

Easier

Written By: Brian St-Aubin

I thought it would be easier
If I told you that I loved you
I thought you would stay If I did

I think about the times
You are laughing without me
And I wonder why I'm not there
I wonder if it's something we can share

There must be a reason
I want you more when you're gone Could it be I wasn't meant to have you
Could this be the lonely road
That I was meant to travel
Nights alone don't forget me when you're gone
Nights alone don't forget me when you're gone

I thought I could trick time
To hurry up when you're gone
By asking you to be only mine
I think about the times
Before you ever met me
And I wonder what you were like
And now you're part of my life

There must be a reason
I want you more when you're gone Could it be I wasn't meant to have you
Could this be the lonely road
That I was meant to travel
Nights alone don't forget me when you're gone
Nights alone don't forget me when you're gone

I carry a fallen star that I call my angel
I beleive that she'll be just fine
She was in the clouds long before she met me
Spreading the love that we drink like wine
Spreading the love that we drink like wine
Saving the best of all and it's mine

When You Said Goodbye

Written By: Brian St Aubin

When You Said Goodbye

You call my name with inviting eyes
You pack another ghost in the closet of my mind

Another chapter left un-read
Why are the best things left behind?

Chorus

I never thought I’d be right here
But I can hear you oh so clear
I should have run and not asked why
I should have listened when you said goodbye

Verse 2

The taste of cinnamon on your skin
Tinted by the color of a blooming rose
The scent of your honey invites me in
I need to taste the color of your skin

Chorus

Verse 3

You call my name with inviting eyes
But you don’t even know I’m listening
I’d like to runaway but I can’t hide
I’ve learned to leave the past behind

Chorus out…..

The Sender

Written By: Brian St Aubin

Let me grab a piece of all that hurts
Pull it form your sweet and luscious candy jar
Let me come inside…………
I would call it dead and covered with dirt
Show you that happiness isn’t all that far
Isn’t far away………………

And I’m waiting on you
Wondering if I’ll do…………..Knowing that

I will always be there for you
Chase away your pain each day
I will always feel for you
And hide your fear when I’m away

My arms are long and strong
Wrap you in my warm and tender
I wrestle to write this song
My heart sings I’m the sender

Can you still feel the comfort you one had
And say you have time for me in your day
The best is yet to come………
I will run through sleepless nights with one last breath
To say you are the one who made me stay
One more day…….
And I’m waiting on you
Wondering if I’ll do…………..Knowing that
