Brian has a vague idea of what Brian is but Brian also knows that Brian will never want to latch on to any complete understanding should Brian find that Brian is coming close to piecing together that puzzle. Brian asks for a friend to hide one of the pieces because Brian enjoys the search that much.
Brian is a collection of influences all snowballing towards something Brian believes will be worth all the fuss.
