Biography

I have been writing/playing music since I was little boy with a bowl cut. I had my first performance at age 4 in the living room of my parents house where I did a grammy winning interpretive dance to Vanilla Ice's song, Ice Ice Baby. In boarding school, I started a hip hop group called House of Rap with my friends Warren Dorr (JFactz) and Brett Hunter (Bhunter). Those days, my emcee name was Tiger T, a name that emerged after an epic golf tournament victory in 6th grade in which my teammates can take all the credit for.

After boarding school, I moved out to Colorado where I started a 5-piece hip hop/reggae/rock band called Good People. After 3 years in the Mile High, I moved back to New England and started working on my solo career as an acoustic hip hopper. During that time, I started collaborating with my brother who is a songwriter/producer living in Stockholm, Sweden.
After working back and forth for several months using Skype as a production meeting, I decided to move to Stockholm to continue our work towards my first solo album. After 9 months in Stockholm, I moved to Nashville, TN to finally get in the studio and put the last 5 years down on track. Let the journey continue..

Lyrics

White Boy

Written By: Brian Thompson

See, I'm a white boy and I've tried to be a nice boy
my parents raised me well and taught me all the right words
but I've been thinking, about the path that I've been given
the raps that I've written and the recent competition
See, I want to make it but you'll never catch me fake it
be real when I open up my journal and read the pages
but its hard with the style that has been adapted by todays kids
you put your heart on a track without a melody, they hate it
but I'm the type of guy who is interested in the content
the emotion that they felt when the pen made the contact
so if you hear my name on a track when I rap
know that I feel every word and give it everything I have

Lifes not easy, lifes not a joke
you got to give your heart and soul everytime you hold the microphone
an accent in the chorus, to amplify the message
live with what you have because what you have is what your blessed with

No matter how far down you go, hold on

Now, fast forward to the day I sat and wrote this
I was dealing with the fact that I thought my life was hopeless
but it was AG who looked me in the eyes and told me straight up
Tiger I've been connecting with your lyrics since the day, I
Heard your CD and the lines of being sober
the post traumatic stress and the limping wounded soldiers
then I, drop the hopeless and put my life in focus
discovered music is my final destination on this roadtrip
writing rhymes about my feelings in the moment
my family comes first and then this music is the closest

Lifes not easy, lifes not a joke
you got to give your heart and soul everytime you hold the microphone
an accent in the chorus, to amplify the message
live with what you have because what you have is what your blessed with

No matter how far down you go, hold on

Now I invite you to the home of my love for soulful music
its not a catchy melody that is solely for amusement
we take rides in our minds and stay away from needles
lets promote serenity and dispose of all the evil
we're all the same in different ways and every one is equal
lets live the life and join the cyph
cause tonight you're with Good People

No matter how far down you go, hold on

Lifes not easy, lifes not a joke
you got to give your heart and soul everytime you hold the microphone
an accent in the chorus, to amplify the message
live with what you have because what you have is what your blessed with

No matter how far down you go, hold on
