PRESS RELEASE
Lubbock Singer – Songwriter Honored For Songwriting Ability
Lubbock entertainer Brian McRae recently received the honor of being named winner by the Song of the Year ( http://www.songoftheyear.com/ ) songwriting contest.
Song of the Year is an international songwriting contest supporting VH-1’s Save the Music Foundation. The Song of the Year judges are some of the biggest names in music including many Grammy Award winners.
Song of the Year is excited to recognize Brian for his exceptional songwriting ability for the song Carry On.
Brian competed against songwriters from all over the world for this honor. When asked what inspired the song Brian commented that it was just one of those things that comes to his mind, generally late at night.
Currently Brian is concentrating on his music career while working to sign a record deal. He stays busy with recording studio work at Don Caldwell Recording Studios in Lubbock and performs music regularly around town.

Discography
Brian's first album (Sessions At Pete's House) was released in April 2004 with some pretty edgy jazz instrumental creations. That album is available through www.CDBaby.com/mcrae.
His next album (which is in the works) will include more instrumentals reflective of his taste and acumen for world music.
But his newest, and by far most successful creations are his new vocal songs:
1. Hallelujah
2. Carry On
3. Overcome It
4. The Perfect Life
5. Nothing But Love
