"TAXI Feedback"

"I hear [Brian's] style as CCM -- modern pop-rock. The style is right now -- very current and competitive"

"The compassion and love that come through are compelling...the [music] is produced well and the vocals are outstanding."

Craig Steaman
Manager, A&R of TAXI: The World's Leading Independent A&R Company - TAXI

"EMI / CMG"

"I like the sound [and] I think it has potential..."

"'Running' is also good...and it hits the female target. There have been several songs recently like that, however I still think it would have some potential." - EMI / CMG Radio Rep

Bio

At Brian Weaver's home, everything has a place. And not only does it have its place, but everything has been purposefully placed. It's the same with his music: one listen and you'll hear the purposeful placement of his lyrics. Listen closer, and you'll hear what’s on his heart.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Brian spent much of his childhood taking piano lessons. He picked up the guitar during his junior year in high school, practicing several hours a week with the goal of playing well enough to lead worship. He took the musical reins of the high school group at his church when he was a freshman in college.

His involvement with Young Life has allowed him to lead worship and perform at leadership retreats, college campuses, and youth events. In addition, Brian was invited to play at multiple Young Life camps from 2006 through 2011, allowing him to witness to over 8,000 campers.

Through his connection with Young Life, Brian has built many relationships, one of the biggest being with Dove Award winner Brandon Heath. In 2004, Brian was placed on a month-long assignment with Brandon, allowing him the privilege to lead music alongside him for a month. The preceding year allowed the two to connect on multiple occasions, giving Brian the opportunity to receive advice from Brandon on musical arrangements and career direction; Brandon soon became one of the major influences of Brian’s decision to pursue music on a larger scale.

Since 2006, Brian has been sharing the stage with artists such as Third Day, Casting Crowns, Jars of Clay, Tenth Avenue North, Chris August, Sidewalk Prophets, Mark Schultz, The City Harmonic, Britt Nicole, Phil Wickham, Mikeschair, Jonny Diaz, Todd Agnew, Phil Joel, Shawn McDonald, JJ Heller, Abandon, Beckah Shae, and many others; also including appearances at Spirit West Coast Del Mar and Monterey festivals and Elevate Music Festival.

His life verse is Ephesians 4:1-2: “...I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Brian’s purpose is to use music as a tool to share the gospel of the Kingdom. He believes being an artist is more than just getting on stage and playing music; it's about relationships. God designed us for relationships, and just as James 4:8 says to “[d]raw close to God, and He will draw close to you,” Brian believes it is his calling to pursue those around him. He has been given a bright light to shine, so he is looking for the highest hill to climb.

Brian released his latest album, “Let Love In”, in September, 2012, with his single, “Rain Or Shine”, gaining radio success across the country. He is signed to VSR Music Group and Capital CMG Distribution.
