Can't You Hear History Repeating?

Can't You Hear History Repeating?
Brian Yak

Indifference: the soundtrack to my postmodern existence.
Oh! Thank you for playing!
But, I think it goes without saying,
our games are so meaningless,
counterfeit innocense has spun us into nothingness with no way out.
We're one step closer to the edge of the world, global warming, havn't you heard?

Love take me higher
then this mess I'm in
So i can breathe again
It's cold in this lions den
and they're awakening

Can't You Hear History Repeating?
Another war another genocide
Forgive me Lord, I know my hearts still beating it's bleeding
But somedays I just get so lost inside.
Can't You Hear History Repeating?
Can't You Hear History Repeating?

John Mayer is still waiting on the world to change
No disresepect but I think we could be doing bigger things
Because I'm tired of feeling empty handed
Oh, I just can't stand it
A little love would go a long way
Now let me explain my perspective,
I don't expect you to accept it.
My brother's on the other side of the world, people say he's fighting someone else's war.
But I was there on his wedding day,
I saw the look in his eye
and every night before bed I pray my nephew grows old with a daddy in his life
I understand you like to keep score
But you don't have to tell me who he's fighting for

Love take me higher
then this mess I'm in
So I can breathe again
It's cold in this lion's den
and they're awakening

Can't You Hear History Repeating?
Another war another genocide
Forgive me Lord, I know my hearts still beating it's bleeding
But somedays I just get so lost inside.
Can't You Hear History Repeating?

Nothing Else

Nothing Else
Brian Yak

It's been too long,
Since I saw you smile.
I swear I felt the earth freeze,
as you walked away.
The way we left I knew it would be awhile, until I found the right words to say.

Some people are to afraid to fall in love
If it wasn't you then I guess it was me.
But if the fear between is the only reason we gave up,
then how do you know it wasn't meant to be?

Oh no, no one's to blame
this fight is in vain
Love isn't win or lose.
Oh no, don't be afraid,
we don't have to be the same
just love whom you choose
The only thing to fear is fear itself,
Fear itself and nothing else,
Nothing else.

I remember how it felt to fall
Hopeless and fast like a dying star
Never knowing I could feel so small
Your words drove a bullet through my heart

Some people are afraid to cry
God only knows how many tears I’ve shed
But if these tears are nothing more than salt
The won’t you take back my heart instead

Oh no, no one's to blame
this fight is in vain
Love isn't win or lose.
Oh no, don't be afraid,
we don't have to be the same
just love whom you choose
The only thing to fear is fear itself,
Fear itself and nothing else,
Nothing else.

So take the time to make things right,
you never know what'll be your last fight,
If time is money and nothing else,
then save all you can and spend it all on love,
spend it all on love.

Oh no, no one's to blame
this fight is in vain
Love isn't win or lose.
Oh no, don't be afraid,
we don't have to be the same
just love whom you choose
The only thing to fear is fear itself,
Fear itself and nothing else,
Nothing else.

The Lighthouse Song

The Lighthouse Song
Brian Yak

If you get lost somewhere out on that concrete sea,
I pray this road will lead you home to me.
Out among the spotlights and the cities bright array,
I can't trust these traffic lights to keep you safe.

And I don't wanna sound like I worry.
Everything is gonna be okay.
But before I go, there's just one thing I have to say

I'll be a lighthouse for you
Shining through the darkness,
just to see you through.
Burning brighter then Manhattan on New Years Eve
If you get lost in the crowd, just look for me.

If the stars are a map of our destiny,
then what does it mean when the clouds leave the sky incomplete?
And if truth speaks in riddles to a great mystery then how can you expect to see and believe.

And I don't wanna sound like I have all the answers, only grace has been shown my way.
But, before I go there's just one thing I have to say.

I'll be a lighthouse for you
Shining through the darkness,
just to see you through.
Burning brighter then Manhattan on New Years Eve
If you get lost in the crowd, just look for me.

I'll leave the light on for you.
No matter what you pull me through,
I'll leave the light on for you.
It's the least I can do.

I'll be a lighthouse for you
Shining through the darkness,
just to see you through.
Burning brighter then Manhattan on New Years Eve
If you get lost in the crowd, just look for me.

Take Me Higher

Written By: Brian Yakaboski

Take Me Higher
Brian Yak

In this life we all take our chances
In the spotlight everyone dances
We live the days we’re given
We enjoy them one by one
But we never count our blessings
Till all is said and done

A landslide of love is on the table
A gift for anyone who’s able
To release the pride they can’t deny
They’ve carried far too long
And pray the words that always lead you home.

Take Me Higher Now
High Above the Clouds
Take Me Higher Now
My life is yours
My life is yours

Apart from your love my soul is abandoned
Without the warmth of your grace I’m cold beneath
But in my darkest hour I feel your power restoring all of me
And in a broken voice I pray to see your face

Repeat Chorus

I’m unashamed to say I feel out of place
Amid the sound and fury of Your creation
To know I have a second home,
To know my name is on the scroll, is such an assuring revelation.
But, until I hear the trumpet sound, until my feet leave the ground
I’ll sing the song of my salvation
And until I hear the trumpet sound, until my feet leave the ground
I’ll sing a song for the angels

Repeat Chorus

Undeniable

Undeniable
Brian Yakaboski

I built these walls with my own two hands
I watched them fall at your command
Like a theif in the night you stole away my facade
Revealing everything I am and everything I'm not

As I stand among the ashes of this life I use to own
This one thing I know
You were, You are, You're all I'll ever need

Your love is unexplainable
Your grace is uncontainable
I fall to my knees and I know inside
You are undeniable,
Undeniable

What a gift it is to breathe
So many take it for granted I’ll never know why
You know the places, I’ve been the secrets I hide
It’s your miracle that I’m still alive

For all the times I’ve failed you, the times I made you cry
You opened up my eyes
I was, I am so lost without you

Repeat Chorus

Lord you are my hearts desire come and set my soul on fire
And in the times that I can’t feel won’t you show me that your love is real
