"Clever Rock Songs with Pop Hooks"

“Bridges’ debut shows the Smiths’ abilities to write clever rock songs with pop hooks. Very radio friendly, Bridges has a sound most record executives are attracted to: It can play on modern rock stations while crossing over to mainstream radio.”
- Scott Chronick, Entertainment Editor
- The Press of Atlantic City

"Stand Out Songwriting & Performance Style"

“With its dueling vocals and musical twists and turns, the band puts an interesting spin on its sound. What also stands out is the Smiths’ songwriting and performance style. The brothers blend introspective lyrics and boyish charm with a raucous and revved up live show.”
- Jennifer Sholly

"There's a Rawness to These Songs"

Bridges And A Bottle is notable because the Harrisburg quintet is bent on continuing its knack for polishing older ideas and fusing them together with present-day pop elements. There's a rawness to these songs that needs to be capitalized on. - Pulse Weekly

"Confident, Intricate Songwriting & Emotionally Charged Vocals"

“[Bridges] has attacked the northeast and burst from the Harrisburg scene in barely two years with confident, intricate songwriting, emotionally charged vocals and a ringing, aggressive musical sensibility.”

Bio

With a successful debut album to their credit, regional airplay, and performances at some of the most notable rock clubs on the east coast, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’s Bridges And A Bottle have created quite a buzz in the region’s music scene. The band consistently delivers radio-friendly tunes ranging from amazing ballads to high energy rock songs. Armed with their brand new 6 song CD Trojan Horse, a new lineup and undeniable talent, Bridges And A Bottle are ready to conquer the national rock scene.

The band is already enjoying regional airplay with Trojan Horse. The first single “Still Standing” was added into rotation on WMRF in Central PA and already the song has made the Top 10 with 22 spins within two weeks out. “Still Standing” has moved to heavy rotation with 32 spins a week. Rocco Pallotto, Music Director at WMRF, comments “There is no doubt in my mind that Bridges And A Bottle will be the next big band to make it out of Pennsylvania.” Bridges And A Bottle were featured on XM Satellite Radio Channel 43 XMU. The band was selected out of 500 submissions for airplay. “18” and “Still Standing” were programmed into rotation. Bridges And A Bottle were also the featured band on Allentown’s WZZO 95.1 Backyard Bands show.

Bridges And A Bottle first burst onto the scene in 2004 with the release of their self titled independent debut album which garnered critical acclaim and generated regional airplay. WXPN named them “Artist of the Day” and the tracks “18” and “One Step Away” charted in top ten play lists. Scott Chronick, entertainment editor for The Press of Atlantic City deemed the debut album “Very radio friendly…Bridges has a sound most record executives are attracted to: It can play on modern rock stations while crossing over to mainstream radio.”

Trojan Horse, was recorded with multi platinum Grammy nominated producer Jeff Glixman at StarCity Recording, a world class recording facility in Bethlehem, PA. Working with Bridges And A Bottle was “one of those perfect matches” for Glixman. “They are young, talented and on a phenomenal growth curve musically.” Together the band and Glixman were able to create 6 incredible songs that each have their own identity but when combined present an impressive body of work.

With themes exploring the emotional aftermath of a personal relationship turned sour, and independence in the face of criticism, Trojan Horse demonstrates the band’s ability to make compelling music that resonates with listeners. Justin and Adam Smith, the songwriters behind Bridges And A Bottle, use their personal experiences to create vivid, visual lyrics that allow listeners to take away their own meanings from each song. “Any good song leaves you with that feeling that stays with you,” explains Justin. Standout tracks on Trojan Horse include Every Woman Will – Still Standing - a definitive song showcasing the dueling vocals of Justin and Adam; and 18 - - an up tempo song portraying a desire to live life and follow your dreams even though others might not agree.

Bridges And A Bottle began in 2003 when brothers Justin and Adam Smith brought their musical passions together to create deeply moving and uniquely captivating rock music with an edge. With drummer Pat Besecker already on board, the lineup was finalized in 2006 with the addition of Tyler Adkins on guitar and Aaron Hodgdon on bass. Adam describes the new lineup as truly completing the band. “These guys are really on the same level, which just makes the band so much stronger.”

Recently, Bridges And A Bottle were selected by Sheetz, a predominant convenience/gas retailer, to be featured in a 90 second documentary style trailer showcasing local independent rock bands. The trailer is currently running in over 120 Central PA movie theaters. The band is also gaining exposure through Sheetz’s EverdayRocks.com site where fans can view the documentary, download ringtones, and hear exclusive podcasts from the band.

Bridges And A Bottle also had the opportunity to work with independent filmmaker Mark Eaton on the music video for 18. A native of York, PA, Eaton is best known for directing BMX videos. His latest project “Joe Kid on a Stingray” was shown at the X-Dance Film Festival, which runs during the Sundance Film Festival. The video for 18 will be debuted along with the release of Trojan Horse and will be available on the band’s website.

Through their constant touring and online presence, Bridges And A Bottle have amassed a loyal and ever growing fan base. The band has left their mark at various rock clubs throughout the east coast including the Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge and CBGB’s in New York City; the Grape Street, North Star and World Café Live in Philadelphia; and the House of Blues in Atlantic City.

With Trojan Horse the band hopes to attack the music industry full force and expand their music to a national level. “I think [Trojan Horse] really shows people that the ban
