Bio

All who know the Native Detroiter Brielle Major will tell you the same thing about her…She was born to be a star! At the young age of eleven Brielle began living out her destiny when she entered a contest at her middle school to write and arrange their school song. Brielle won that competition “almost” unanimously! She only missed one vote out of the 350 students that attended the school…one of Brielle’s five other competitors voted for her own submission. That experience was a life changing event for Ms. Major. Her then childhood dreams of becoming a superstar, from that day on, would become a reality. Brielle realized even as a child that she would have to work and study hard to perfect her entertainment skills. She was professionally trained for three years in vocal music, dance and theatre, by the local Detroit entertainment company “The Peddy Players”. Who also helped jump start the career of another Detroit superstar, R&B artist, and actress, Aaliyah. All of Brielle’s hard work and sacrifice definitely paid off. Her debut performance was at one of Detroit’s largest theatrical entertainment venues, The Detroit Masonic Temple, where she performed as the leading lady for three straight years in the Christmas musical “There’s Hope for Willie T”. Later with such major experiences and strong level of skill, Brielle was accepted into the Detroit High School Of Performing Arts (aka DSA), where she continued her entertainment studies side by side with some of Detroit’s other local up and coming superstars such as, R&B recording artist and actress Aaliyah, R&B recording artist Mercedes of No Limit Records, and Flavor of Love Reality stars Delicious and Prancer. Brielle began her first recordings during this time in a three girl R&B group named “Juxtapose” in which one of its members would soon be known to the world as the No Limit Recording artist Mercedes. The group’s success took off fast! Their debut group performance was on BET’s “Comic View” filmed in Toronto, Canada. Within months after that performance the group was being offered major label deals with clothing line F.U.B.U. and the major R&B singer/songwriter R. Kelly. Though the group split before signing any major deal Brielle never gave up the hope of making her dreams a reality. She continued writing and recording music as a solo artist. Still strongly believing that hard work pays off, Brielle became even more dedicated to her musical grind. She set out to make a name for herself in her city and that’s exactly what she did. Now Brielle has a reputation of being one the hottest singer/songwriters in Detroit, Michigan. That reputation has giving her opportunities to write record, and perform with some great local and national artist such as D12 (Shady Records), Mr. Porter (Interscope producer), Biv 10 Pee Wees (Michael Bivins, Biv 10 Records), Antwan (Day 26, Bad Boy Records), Bareda (MTV’s Lyricist Lounge Show), and a host of other amazing up and coming talents. Brielle Major definitely has the skill, drive, work ethics, and passion for entertainment that will definitely lead to a her right to her destiny… Super Stardom!
