Bright Blue City hail from the small town of Stellenbosch. All of us have
played in many different bands, covering a wide variety of genres.
All members have been involved with hardcore/post hardcore
bands but all decided to try something new. Pop Punk was that
something new. The energy we deliver is intense yet fun and
memorable. Bright Blue City started to remind people that
punk, especially commercial punk rock is not dead and can be
enjoyed by absolutely EVERYONE! We have created a rather big stir
already. Constant punk riffs and very catchy chorus's make sure
for an awesome performance and a show everyone will remember. We want more, we want more!
Bright Blue City have been toghether for not to long (8 months) but have already been offered countless amounts of gigs. One which includes supporting
act for, John Ellis (tree 63), 20th November 2010. We are also
featuring on MfM (maties FM). We decided on doing commercial pop punk because it gets everyone up and jumping no matter what your preferred genre
of music is. We are really excited with the fact that whenever we
perform, people "lose themselves" which is what all musicians truly
aim for. The music is really fun and we deliver our absolute best
performance every single time while performing. The stage is where we spread our message and we have listeners and we wont stop "educating". I can assure you
that Pop punk will make a turn and swoop straight back into the SA
music scene, early this year. Constant practicing and live shows have made us really tight as musicians and other musical ventures which we have been involved with have become side projects. Bright Blue City is our 1st priority and is
something special which we cannot deny. We have given up alot for
the music, now the music is looking after us. Bright Blue City recently recorded their 2nd track
single, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang! A song that is sure to turn some heads! Recording
happened at,T-Time Studios,Brakenfell, Cape Town. The track is finding itself all over Stellenbosch. And there is definately a hype going on. This is
everything and more than we could have asked for. Pop Punk...back in action!
Punk rock was a genre everyone loved, admit it, it played a major
roll in all of our lives at some point in time. People seemed to forget
about it. We are here to remind the masses and its going even better than expected. Some of our accomplishments over our 6 months of existance include:

* Supporting act for John Ellis (Former Tree 63).
* Stellenbosch Jool quad party, alongside, Van Coke Kartel.
* Ultrafest, alongside, Crashcarburn and Die Heuwels Fantasties.
* Adorned Skate event.
* Straatfees, alongside,Straatligkinders, Foto na Dans, New Holland, Die Tuindwergies and Holiday Murray.
* Letf Side Right Events launch party, alongside, Hog Hoggidy Hog and Versus the Wolf.
* In June 2011 we will embark on our Winter tour( JHB, PTA, BLOEM and POTCH) the tour will end at the Beeeg Day out in Johannesburg.

For a band who is still "young" (8 months in the making) we have played really big events and have created a rather big and interesting following. Our next
step is to go into studio and record our first full length studio
album, including shooting a video for" Kiss Kiss Bang Bang!" and "Let me be your Hero".

We can assure you that the album will be one which will gain major commercial success. We felt it the minute Bright Blue City started. We only ever want to be
doing punk rock. We only ever want to see a party happening
infront of us and we only want to show people that punk rock is a genre that will never die. We are not the typical band. We are extremely serious about the
music. We have fun, but marketing and performance is where we perform best. Its the two areas a band must concentrate on the most if you are wanting to be a success.
