Bio

Born from the ashes of Soul Manifest, a Blues/Psychedelic Rock band from France, signed on the Swedish label Night Tripper Records, Bright Curse is a new deep, dark and hypnotic heavy-delic project, since June 2012. This wicked band is based in London but made of purely French components.
Bright Curse's story begins when Row, singer and guitarist of Soul Manifest, decides to leave the north of France to live in London. He find a friend, Sam, who already lives there for 2 years, and asks him to join him as a bass player. Together, they rebuild the band with two other musicians (one Australian and one English).
Unfortunately, after many changes of drummers, energy slows down. The original line-up has been altered, so they choose to stop the adventure. Nevertheless, Row and Sam decide to create a new band, darker, fatter and more mature. Their friend JB Pilon (who handled the recording of Bright Curse's EP) introduces Zak to them, a French drummer from the metal scene ! A gig at a private party, few psychotropics and a practice later, the alchemy was in the air.
Bright Curse was born !
In only 3 months, they wrote 5 songs, and wanted to recorded their first EP. They organized a fund-raising campaign via KissKissBankBank, with success ! Fans were already there !
Recorded in September at Rock Of London studio with JB Pilon, Bright Curse released on November 15th its first album ! Mix between doom, psyche rock, stoner, heavy blues and Viking warriors hymn, this 5 tracks album lasts a good 40 minutes and will make you travel a good 10 kilometres above the solid ground setting sail to either the deep American West, the Norwegians fjords or even the Indian Ganges’shores. You might get hurts a few times on your way down by some slaughter riffs but it’s all part of the fun. Mastered by Brad Boatright (who worked on the recent reissue of the monolithic Sleep's Dopesmoker) in Portland, the album will soon be played around Europe so keep an eye on them !
