Bio

Rising-star rock band BRIGHTLIVE was initiated as the brainchild of front man singer/songwriter Chris Barron, who one day decided he was tired of hawking his creativity to the highest bidder. He rallied the forces of fellow musicians Andy Prickett (Gtr/Bass), Frank Reina (Drums), and Russell Crain (Gtr/Bass), who all shared the same artistic desire. Since its inception, BRIGHTLIVE has evolved into a creative hub for its multi-talented members who are all seasoned performers and accomplished producers in their own right. They had known each other and worked together for years before seeing an opportunity for a collaborative musical outlet, then BRIGHTLIVE was formed in 2008. Forging a new path in the alternative rock paradigm, BRIGHTLIVE interlaces stirring guitar with piano and vocal hooks, serving up both epic rock anthems and earnest love songs; at times, simultaneously.

BRIGHTLIVE is one of those rare and magical chemistries that occur when just the right ingredients are combined at precisely the right time, each one contributing a vital and unique component. A band of “producers” risks becoming a cautionary tale of too many cooks in the kitchen, but BRIGHTLIVE achieves true collaboration. Best of all, these guys are great friends and they make each other laugh - all the time.

Individually, BRIGHTLIVE members have produced, performed live, recorded, and mixed sessions with a veritable “Who’s Who” of artists, including One Republic, Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, Nikki & Rich (Warner/Reprise), Terra Naomi (Island Def Jam), Set To Sea (Northern Records), Marika (Pomaton EMI), The Violet Burning, The Prayer Chain, Kevin Max, and many more. They have worked extensively in film and television as writers, producers and session players, and are continually involved in recording with new and local artists. Most recently, Prickett took a timeout to produce One Republic’s new record, All The Right Moves, and perform as a guest guitar player on their international tour. Collectively, the band is hard at work in the studio recording their first album, and performing live shows at clubs in Los Angeles and Orange County.
