Brighton Be

Brighton Be is a contemporary soul artist and pianist with influences spanning multiple genres and a flare for creating vibes reminiscent of the 60s and 70s punctuated by a soulful falsetto and vibrato which complete his retro-feel sound and defines his music ranging from slow acoustic piano ballads to dancey and upbeat rhythmic melodies.

Raised in a small town, east of Zimbabwe, Brighton recalls learning to sing, at the tender age of six through hymns taught by his mother and was immediately enthused by classical songwriting styles. Later in high school, he sang in various A Capella singing groups.

Brighton would later move to Little Rock, Arkansas in 2012, and shortly thereafter began to materialize his long held musical compositions on piano. It was there that he nurtured his soul sound, and was exposed to classical and contemporary jazz that further refined his musical acumen.

In college, Brighton briefly sang with the Chosen Generation choir while flexing his piano skills at a local gallery and on the local scene.

After graduating, Be decided to fully pursue his long-held passion for music moving to Los Angeles the summer of 2017, and in November released his self produced debut single "Tonight", an ode to finding love and realizing dreams in the most unlikely circumstances.
