Bio
Brighton emerged from a small town on the west coast of Norway, called Haugesund.
They were then called Hyde Midnight, but changed it to better, and more catchy name: Brighton.
The boys moved to Bergen and started to work on new songs while studying. Four of the members in the band also live together, so it`s no secret that the band is based on camaraderie, and democratic decisions. One for all, and all for one!
The band is often described as somewhere in between the Killers, and swedish pop band Kent.
Their music can be described as a mixture of catchy melodies and rhythms, but with an instinctive british sound, though they are from Norway.
With lyrics that stretch from a martyrs death in "Alexander", to a young mans journey from an apocalyptic cult to an underground fighting ring in "The Orchid". They always aim to have e story with each song.
Brightons influences reaches from the dashing melodies of David Bowie, to the energetic Norwegian band Kaizers Orchestra. The basic idea of the band is to put together strong lyrics with catchy melodies and deliver an energetic live performance every time.
In 2011 Brighton reached the final of the Norwegian Urørt-competition, where previous contenders include Ida Maria and Kvelertak.
