Bio

Tigers are a group of four, highly literate individuals, recently released from higher education to the wilds of the independent music scene (boasting a 25% graduation rate*). They hail from across the states of Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, concentrically focused on the town of Dallas, TX.

As songwriters, Tigers employ atypical methods of construction, more interested in myth, fable, and allegory than straight-forward earnestness. This is no indicator of emotional apathy (unless perhaps you confuse apathy and good old-fashioned 90’s nihilism, which does occasionally work its way into the fold), but instead an attempt to dissociate from the kind of neo-effeminate-rape of classic folk music tropes so prevalent in popular music, typically with an unabashed aim towards the trouser muscles of youthful females. Tigers need not work for teenage pussy. It has been throwing itself at Tigers for ages.

Sonically, Tigers are no less experimental than in their choice of accompanying vocabulary. They adhere to an almost sadomasochistic fidelity to innovation, the kind of desire for inventiveness that can cause band members to inflict bodily harm upon one another (and consequently, delay production.)

As a live band, Tigers use a number of artificial chemical substances, specifically Redline, smelling salts, and Old Milwaukee to magnify their already lusty instrument pounding and high-screeched wailing to make for an exceptional, energetic performance. They promise to keep their clothes on.**
