Bright Young Nights

Bright Young Nights began with singer Darren Martin and bassist Robert Shaw writing and playing shows with previous members. The band began to build a fan base and released a single "Todd Copper" which sold over 100 physical copies on its launch night. The band quickly signed a management and promotion deal with Jean Marc Burnett of Jay B Promotions (PYRO). They then set out on their first UK tour to help promote the band and its music. Bright Young Nights also received a lot of attention from local newspapers around scotland aswell as featuring on the STV website. They also gained support from Jim Gellatly and many other DJ's who played their music on the radio, aswell as being the feature band on Romeos new music show on Clyde 1 where singer Darren gave an interview to promote their next tour. This tour saw the band headline the O2ABC2 in Glasgow before continuing a further 12 dates down south, concluding in Dublin Castle, London. The band then parted company with their guitarist and drummer after a showcase with artists from Rough Trade Records. Hayley McCook and Simon McCouat joined the band and the were better than ever. They have since played their biggest out of town show at 53 degrees in preston for freshers fortnight (September 2011) where they impressed A&R's from Sony RCA and Warner Publishing. The band are currently demoing new songs aswell as working on getting bigger support slots with Jar Music Live to promote the band further.
