Bio

The story goes like this: in 2008 in the best fallafel shop of Paris (located rue des Rosiers) the blond asked the brunette to marry her, the brunette said YES, and since then they've been making music in their kitchen in glitter dresses with flowers in their hair, with a computer, 4 hands, an old 58 guitar and a 49 folk, a glockenspiel, 2 voices, a tambourin, and kids running all around.
And because of Brigitte Bardot, Brigitte Lahaye, Brigitte my neighboor... Brigitte they are.

Very soon Brigitte was on the road playing shows after shows, supporting great French acts like Anaïs, writing an indie movie soundtrack ("Hasta la vista fanfan" short
film from Anissa Bonnefont) and even sang on the soundtrack of Benoit Pétré's latest blockbuster movie "Thelma Louise et Chantal" arranged & produced by Keren Ann.
In may 2009, while Paris moved to Cannes, they were playing a show in an erotic 70's film festival and were asked to do an erotic song cover, they chose the controversial song "Ma Benz" ("My Mercedes Benz") from famous french rap band NTM. Before they knew it the track and their two other demo songs were buzzing on the internet and making their way on indie radios, videos aired on MTV and in june 2010 Brigitte was invited to perform on our biggest music national TV show, TARATATA.
Following this a first EP was recorded and distributed digitally, the band was invited to play a bunch of cool indie festivals all summer and they ended up playing a sold
out show in Paris at the "Européen" at the end of the year.

Their signature on the indie label "3ème Bureau" (c/o Wagram) in october got things moving even faster, and bigger. Their first single issued from their Battez- Vous (Fight!) EP entered national radios' playlists (France Inter, Europe 1, Fip, Nova, Le Mouv'...), the video aired non-stop on national TV (M6) and cable channels (W9), and the french press went mental on the "phenomenon" (ELLE, ROCK&FOLK, SERGE, COSMOPOLITAIN, les INROCKS...)
Brigitte went on to spend their Xmas holidays in studio recording their debut album, which was be released on april 18th, during the time they'll be touring their own "tour de France".
To resume, beware of our she-wolves. Great songs, amazing live presence and trully magnificent voices, Brigitte is definitely the next best thing out of the cheese country.
