Bio

Borne of the DFW metal/hardcore scene comes genre benders Bring Forth the Fallen, determined to carve a niche for themselves without sacrificing their very eclectic musical backgrounds.

"We all obviously have a passion for metal as a whole, but we all draw inspiration from very different places," states guitarist Craig Sefcik. "Case in point, what genre do I listen to the most? Electronica; preferably good trance or house, maybe some breakbeat, jungle or stomp when I'm in the mood for it. I know, weird, right haha?"

With their soon to be released debut EP 'Til Death Do Us Part' recorded with Gino Baldi or MacCalibur Studios drawing close, BFTF chose to tackle a topic that many people don't think about until it's too late; the loss of innocence.

"'Til Death Do Us Part' is a concept album with a very strong metaphorical statement; we tell the story of a young woman who is having the time of her life. Everything's going exactly her way; she's got lots of friends, suddenly met an amazing man and falls in love, life's just perfect for her until suddenly and almost unexplainably, she is kidnapped and brutally murdered. The woman's boyfriend becomes overstricken with emotion is forced to the very edge of his psychological boundaries; he begins to entertain thoughts of vengeance, murder and even suicide himself. Ultimately, he realizes that although the grotesque and unjustified act has taken an irreplacable part of him away, he must continue on and learn that life IS worth living, because that is the final gift the woman bore him," says Craig. "It's all a metaphor for how brutally unprepared youth is in this day and age, when their childhood and innocence can be ripped away at any moment by the media, their peers and any number of outside influences. It's almost like kids are never even able to be kids anymore, they go directly from infancy to infamy now."

With their original approach to song writing and unrelentingly energetic and frenetic live shows, BFTF are poised to make a crater-sized impact on every musical front.
