"New Latina Sensation of Reggaeton"

New Latina Sensation of Reggaeton

9/17/06 -! press release

There is a new face in the music world we should all be looking out for. Guaranteed to become the next Latina sensation, Brisaye is the freshest female face to hit the mostly male dominated Reggaeton scene. Unlike any other, Brisaye's music emits a different style by singing with her sensual voice over intoxicating reggaeton beats differentiating her from the popular Latin Rap Reggaeton music.

Some have referred to her as the "First Lady" of Reggaeton and "La Princesa del Reggaeton" (Reggaeton Princess) because of her lady-like class and look. Adding to her uniqueness, many are surprised to find that Brisaye was born in El Salvador and is not hailing from Puerto Rico as many reggaeton artists are today.

Brisaye has utmost respect for Puerto Rico and is inspired by the artists from there, but most of all is proud of being Latina and sharing a common love for all Latin culture and its universal music. Brisaye is looking forward to one day collaborate with the "Greats of Reggaeton" such as Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Ivy Queen and other artists of their caliber and become an international bilingual music star.

Brisaye's debut single "Tocame", translated "Touch Me" featuring Miami based Sony artist SitoOner Rock was released on 2Def Records compilation cd, Reggaeton Flava, June 20th in Canada and Europe and is already creating a buzz as the next "big thing" in Reggaeton music. Brisaye has also been featured on popular DJ mix CDs such as DJ Luvsick of Broken Needles from Europe, DJ Furious of the Bay area in California, DJ El Nino of New York and countless others bringing her unique style a lot of underground attention.

Working on her new single with music producer Blu Dragon of OnBeat Studios in West Palm Beach, "Baile Del Reggaeton", is sure to become the next anthem hit for the Latino Reggaeton generation with infectious salsa hooks reminding you where the music has evolved from and where its going. Brisaye is also recording over different styles of music such as Hip Hop, R&B and Pop and is constantly looking on ways to broaden her musical horizons

Feeling a bit camera shy

Born in El Salvador, raised in the US, Monica Briseis Argueta known as ''Brisaye'' has always had a passion for the arts and music. Brisaye's first songwriting experience was in the fifth grade, but it wasn't until her High School years that she began to perform and share her undiscovered talents with others. Forming an R&B group with two friends called "Kraave", she began to develop her talents to a higher level by spending any spare time she possessed singing, composing and dancing. Once the "Kraave" members decided to go their separate ways, Brisaye felt it was time to become a solo artist and experiment with different genres of music while attending The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale earning a degree in fashion design.
Brisaye is currently recording her bilingual hits at On Beat Studios in West Palm Beach with manager and music producer "Blu" of Blue Dragon Entertainment and multi talented audio engineer, Oscar Zayas. InCahoots! PR Media joined the management team this year assisting with marketing and promotions.
Brisaye's provocative, Reggaeton styled single themed "Tocame", translated "Touch Me", features Miami based Sony BMG artist Sito OnerRock who has opened up for Don Omar and stars in the urban Latino version Toyota Scion commercial. Brisaye performed this year on the Soulfrito stage at the historical festival Calle Ocho amidst talent such as Pitbull and WuLatino's, Los Yo Yais.
Brisaye's single Tocame debut on 2Def Records compilation CD, Reggaeton Flava which was introduced in Canada and Europe June 2oth, 2006. Brisaye has also been featured on numerous DJ's mix CDs around the world and has been working on collaborations with other artists in the industry.
Long anticipated, Brisaye’s official website was launched July 2006, featuring video and photos from photographers Sergio Martinez and Pablo Tarrero and photo shoot at Club PS14 in downtown Miami with Montoya Photography who effortlessly captured her natural beauty and flare.
Recent music projects include the hot anthem single “Baile de Reggaeton” and an exciting Reggaeton remake of Madonna’s “Everybody”!
Multi-talented and multi-faceted, Brisaye is predicted to become the next sensation, international bilingual star singing in both Spanish and English over a broad variety of music.
