Brittany Larsen

Hey! I am twenty years old and am currently attending Lubbock Christian University. I absolutely love music! I play guitar, sing, and write all my songs. My inspiration comes from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and am so thankful for all the things He has done and continues to do in my life. The genre of my music is a little different from most. It is more of an acoustic rap with an upbeat mix. Two and a half years ago I started college at LCU and played basketball and softball. I played sports my whole life and absolutely loved it. I got caught up in the wrong crowd and started partying doing things I shouldn't be doing. I got to a point where I was at my all time low. I felt like God was telling me to change my life or I would miss all the things He had to offer. A friend of mine and I decided to make the decision together. I quit softball and quit partying and started on a new path with Jesus Christ. That next fall I got really sick with mono and could not do the one thing I loved. I had to give up basketball. I started really praying about it and God really laid it on my heart to start writing and singing Christian music. I started writing about different struggles my friends had gone through and different trials I had to go through. God opened a door for me to open for a local group here in Lubbock called S.O.G. and I am so blessed for them. I know God has a plan for me and music and He will continue to open the right doors. I absolutely love every second of this chapter and I plan on using the talents God has given me all for Him. I believe He can use my music to reach people who are hurting and give them hope.
