Lyrics

Hard Times Knockin' at My Door

Written By: Brent Hopper

Hard times have been knockin’ at my door
You know I’ve been here twice or more
Reaching out for inspiration in another tune
Another day goes by in the month of June

Hard times come again no more
You know I’ve heard it sung a million times before
Struggle for a living, that’s just what artists do
And in the end you know it keeps our songs so true

I’ve seen a new day rising, another setting on my past
We all have our stories, and some will always last
Singing songs of freedom and of generations gone before
And always in the times of change, hard times are knocking at my door

Hard times come again no more
You know I’ve heard it sung a million times before
Struggle for a living, that’s just what artists do
And in the end you know it keeps our songs so true

Good Old Country Sound

Written By: Brittany Reilly

All these honky-tonks that don’t play real country music
On an avenue that doesn’t seem to rest
I pressed my nose to the glass of Ernest Tubbs old record shop
Trying to imagine midnight jamboree’s of the past

So while the honky-tonks are playing rock & roll music
Cowboy boots are sitting on the shelves
We’re gonna wrap ourselves in that good old country sound
And bring it back into the hills

We weren’t sure when we were pulling into Nashville
What kind of crowd we’d have or if we’d just bust
We weren’t surprised to start off the night quite lonely
Pretty soon those folks took a liking to us

So while the honky-tonks are playing rock & roll music
Cowboy boots are sitting on the shelves
We’re gonna wrap ourselves in that good old country sound
And bring it back into the hills
Yea we’re gonna bring it, oh yeah we’re gonna bring it
Back into the hills....
