Bio
I'm a teacher. There's my love of performing right there! I love words and languages. I speak French, some Russian, some Arabic, I know how to say "thank you" in probably 20-30 languages, and I know how to say "would you keep it down, please?" in Somali.
I bought a Teisco Del Rey when I was 10 years old at the World's Largest Garage Sale in Portland, Maine. It cost 10 dollars. As a kid, I liked going to pawn shops in town, and looking at all the psychedelic pick guards on the old dusty guitars.
My parents gave me a Theramin for Christmas one year, but it takes me forever to play one song on it. I won't be playing that out.
Once I took my brother with me to go shopping for a wedding dress at the Salvation Army. We came home with a Hammond organ. Had I known how to play it at the time, I would have played my own wedding march. I still don't know how to play it.
I have lived in Texas, Western Mass, New York and in France. I met my husband there (in France, not all of those places), and he turned me on to Basque food and Xistera. Now there are 3 of us. I play music for my family ALL the time, whether they like it or not.
Although they are near and dear to me, I "put up" with little sighthounds. Remember "Nipper?" Well there you go!
