BRITTLE is an energetic punk/edge/rock band made up of three teenagers Ben Whiting, vocals & guitar, Billy Donaldson, bass & b.vocals and Geoff Slingsby, drums. Formed six years ago, they have written over fifty songs and have produced two eps in collaboration with their mentor and friend Graham Buzz Bidstrup drummer from The Angels and GANGajang.
BRITTLE was selected to open the Main Stage at SPLENDOUR IN THE THE GRASS 06 at Byron Bay, with a sizzling half hour set along side bands such as SNOW PATROL, YOUTHGROUP, GRINSPOON and WOLFMOTHER.
The band are regular performers at Schoolies 05 & 06 and have shared the stage supporting GRINSPOON, KISSCHASY, BODYJAR, SOMETHING WITH NUMBERS, AVALON DRIVE, DAISYCUTTERS and the legendary ANGELS at Indie Week 06.
This high profile young band has won numerous competitions including YOUTHROCK03 (Sydney), Got2BYouth Challenge 05 (Brisbane), & Ashtons High School Rock02, as well as two NCEIA Dolphin Awards in 2005. The band has been in the top 5 finalists in the national MUSICOZ Awards in the Punk and Schoolies section for the past 4 years as well as finalists in the Australian Songwriters Association competitions for several years.
BRITTLE has just returned from their first tour to Sydney and Melbourne to support the release their ep SPEAK YA MIND and the video clip of the single Hello Sun . Check it out on youtube.com/brittlerock
