Brock Thompson

Brock Thompson grew up in the backwoods near the headwaters of the Mississippi where he explored and fell in love with the natural world, spending hours and days trekking through the swamps and forests alone with his imagination. He developed an interest in music at a young age, playing with a Casio keyboard until early teens when his father gave him his first MIDI keyboard and software bundle for tracking Basic MIDI songs. At 15 he began teaching himself how to play a cheap electric guitar. Later this would evolve as he enrolled in Electronic Music Synthesis and Audio Production courses in college. Soon after that, he began teaching himself more about multi-tracking softwares and instrumentation, including bass guitar.

Derailed from his ambitions of finishing with a Bachelors in Film Studies after his college reduced the program, he jumped on an opportunity to join a band as a keyboardist. Later he would move to Minneapolis and help form the eclectic Jam Band "Puzzle" playing keyboard and explored songwriting and singing, discovering that he had something much more than just accompanying abilities.

Today he writes lots of lyrics and music, and writes and records his own from his humble project studio. His ambitions are numerous, and include forming a band and touring, but for now he is developing his ability to perform solo and polishing his material.
