"Bleeding Angel Reviewed"

I’m listening to this Bleeding Angel record by Broken Frame, and am sitting here wondering just how in the hell I have not heard of this band earlier. Bleeding Angel is a fantastic record, and has quickly become one of my favorites from a Western New York band.

If you like your modern rock melodic, and like that little extra sprinkle of heavy on top, then you need look no further than Broken Frame. Just go out right now and listen to this band, and pick up a copy of Bleeding Angel. You say you’re into rock akin to that of Breaking Benjamin, Unloco, A New Revolution or Evans Blue? Broken Frame is the band for you. They combine that modern rock element with a nice metal tinge, and come out with a great, original sound.

This record is laced with penetrating and towering guitars, laid over a bed of brilliant, captivating vocals from talented frontman Brandon. Bleeding Angel is full of heavy hitters through and through, and no matter where you look you are going to find something pleasing. If you want soothing, yet uncompromising, then listen to Torn, easily their heaviest song on the outing. Their track Cowboy has one of the better internal grooves of the Bleeding Angel, and should work to get your head bobbing as much as it will work to get you singing along, while on the flip side, This Promise just screams radio play. Further into the record, Carousel sounds eerily like A New Revolution’s Pieces, and Never Again just might be the best song they have penned so far. Listening to this record, it is almost like the guys in Broken Frame woke up and said, ‘hey lets make the rock record that no one else is putting out right now.’

With today’s stagnant rock scene run by pretenders Nickelback and Fall Out Boy, bands like Broken Frame instill hope in my thinking that someday real rock music will return to prominence. Bleeding Angel is one of those gems that makes me happy I write about local music, which means I get to hear it before anyone else. Thanks for the bragging rights Broken Frame.

Bio

Are you ready for tales of love, betrayal, fear, anger, and longing?...And that's just the first CD!

Broken Frame has completed their debut CD: "Bleeding Angel". The completion of the band's debut CD marks the start of a new and exciting chapter in their musical career. Broken Frame began to break new ground in November of 2006, when Brandon took over the mic, joining Brandon "Frank" (guitar) and Cory (drums). Broken Frame pressed forward with the addition of bassist Dana in May, 2007, and things have been moving at a break-neck speed since then!

Broken Frame continues to grow their fanbase by performing exciting live sets, and by recording a series of radio-ready tunes. Following the release of "Bleeding Angel", Broken Frame looks forward to continue their expansion of their fanbase with the help and support of their loyal fans. The band has been approached by several national promotion and management companies, and is currently in negotiations with independent record labels who are striving to bring Broken Frame's identifiable sound to the masses.

Broken Frame plans on engaging in a series of regional shows in promotion of "Bleeding Angel", supported by radio play and strong word of mouth by the fans! The band would also like to inform their fans that a Broken Frame line of merchandise will soon be on its way, so they can get decked out for the shows and show their love!
