'York-based alt-country/neo-folk trio Broken Ground (Chris Williams, Phil Simpson & Matt Lockwood) combine finely crafted songs and foot stampin' grooves rich with harmonies that echo Simon & Garfunkel & The Everly Brothers.
Although still relative newcomers, they have already shared billings with the likes of Kris Drever, Four Men & A Dog, Harper Simon, Seth Lakeman & Martin Carthy. They have had recent primetime live sessions on BBC Radio Leeds & BBC Humberside, and have just completed a busy summer with a multitude of high profile gigs & festivals under their belt.'
