Living in Brooklyn, Broken Land is primarily influenced by northern Indian classical music and indie rock. Is this called Hindie Rock? Alternate tunings coin unique chord voicings, while rhythmic cycles of Northern Indian Music provide the foundation. The goal is to create Rasa's or emotional states, not subject to boundaries or direct influence, through intuition and experiment.
