"XNRock.com Review of "Life After You" (sampler cd)"

"This cd is only a sampler but it is great. It has an atmosphere of Puddle Of Mudd, Rage Against The Machine, and southern rock surrounded by loud and thunderous guitar riffs, drum beats with inspiring lyrics that just totally melts the face of the people that listens to this cd. It is great material to start off Broken Stone's long music careers ahead of them, because this piece of music is one that will be listened to a lot by me. Great hooks are also noticeable in this cd with a few heavy lines of verses that will just get the adrenaline pumping inside you and it has a softer side which will stick on a lot of people. It has a mix of everything and it sounds real good. You guys are very good sounding and I can't wait to hear more material from ya'll in the future. Keep up the good work." - Frankie Mathews, XNRock.com

"NOT MISSING A BEAT IN INDY"

You could say Broken Stone arrived at the venue prepared. Birdy’s is about 50 miles away from their home base…and they still brought the crowd. Call this band lazy and I’ll throw a shoe at your head.

CD Review: What I love about Rock music is the same thing that I love about Rap music: its ability to instantly connect with the listener - if the artist is sincere. Broken Stone, a Rock band from Bloomington, Indiana, is very sincere on their debut project.

They are reminiscent of some of the best bands you've heard of, but they somehow manage to create a sound of their own with melodic bass lines, screaming guitars, driving percussion, and soaring vocals that sing and bust rhymes with equal proficiency. Because this is a first rate "performing" band that puts their heart, soul and talent into every song, their potential for commercial success lies within their ability to expand their fan base with their undeniable brand of energetically hypnotizing Rock.

This is a strong and complete package that Rock fans and industry professionals will want a piece of. It features a radio ready, blockbuster movie ballad, "Open Me Up," which the producers of the next Spiderman or other comic book character turned action hero turned movie star, should consider. It elevates them to another level, as does "Wake Up," which could be a powerful break-out single for them that is sure to resonate at the college and commercial radio level. Broken Stone has placed themselves on my list of bands to watch.

After listening to life after you, it makes the other Rock bands that I've heard so far in 2006 seem irrelevant.

Advice: Get on a tour opening for a major act! You guys are ready for prime time. - Gian Fiero - The Muse's Muse

"Encore in Indy"

Displaying an energy unparalleled the entire evening, Broken Stone is impossible to ignore. A good integration of keyboards into a rock group was what stuck out the most. - James Pennypacker

Bio

Mr. Fiero says it best... "They are reminiscent of some of the best bands you've heard of, but they somehow manage to create a sound of their own... [an] undeniable brand of energetically hypnotizing Rock.

Wasting no time, the band set all things aside in their lives shortly after their formation in mid 2004 to immerse themselves entirely in music. Living and operating under one roof quickly developed Broken Stone into a well-driven machine performing 100+ shows to in their first year and a half. Highlights include the 2005 Motor City Music Conference in Detroit, finalist in the 2005 Emergenza Festival in Indianapolis, and winner of the 2005 ISU Battle of the Bands in Terre Haute, Indiana.

In May 2006, Broken Stone relocated to Indianapolis and has already begun to build a steadily growing fanbase there. Make no mistake, this band has the drive to succeed.

Broken Stone's music will be featured in an upcoming Indie Film titled "Sandman".
