Formed in late 2012, Broke Tenure is a compilation of the best from the South Florida music scene, brought together by the love of performing live and the desire to spread quality music, Broken Tenure plans to grab the attention of those who believe that a bunch of Miami boys can't rock!
Chris Rod is a hometown local musician who has performed with several artists from the Miami music scene in several venues in South Florida, as a music teacher on Miami Beach, he met the future members of Broken Tenure through the local circuit, he is currently a hired musician that is performing weekly with several side projects, as the drummer of the band, he brings some of the aggressiveness to Broken Tenure,
Gonzalo Gallarza is a native from Uruguay who came over to Miami when he was young, after experiencing growing pains with the love of being a big-time soccer player, he learned guitar, originally, but fell in love with the bass, soon becoming a machine-like player who found himself performing weekly with several local musicians, as the youngster in the band, he has stepped up to the plate as the low-end frequency player of Broken Tenure
Luis Lugo is the founding member of Broken Tenure, establishing himself as the lead songwriter and guitarist of the band, born and raised in Puerto Rico, he has worked for EMI and Sony as a registered songwriter and also has touring experience as a drummer and guitarist from the Metal scene in the US & Europe, as a multi-instrumentalist and an enthusiastic recording engineer, he completes the aggressiveness and focus of Broken Tenure,
Bryan Laye is a hometown rock and roll lover who was born and raised in Miami, having performed all over town and then moving on up the east coast, with a few performances in the west coast as well, he brings the voice and is the face of the group, having previously released a solo cd back in 2010, he is now co-writing many of the songs in the bands catalog, as the lead vocalist of Broken Tenure, he moves an audience with his showmanship and frontman persona.
